VFFOTO magnetic 77 mm Night Sky filter NANO-PRO – simple, fast, no screwing!
VFFOTO recommendations:
The VFFOTO NANO-PRO range of magnetic NIGHT SKY filters is for those who want the highest quality without compromise and, at the same time, fast and easy filter handling.
Night Sky is a special type of didymium glass-based filter for photographers of starry sky landscapes or night city scenes in artificial light. It removes the excess yellow-orange light pollution, thus the photos get truer colors, the sky gets darker and the stars stand out more. The Night Sky filter will also bring out the alpenglow in the morning or evening sky in a unique way. In combination with a polarising filter, it will offer more vivid and saturated colours to nature photographers.
Magnetic filters are quick and easy to change. Just hold the filter close to the adapter at the end of the lens and it holds firmly immediately. The solution is perfect for everyone who have a problem with perpetual screwing when changing filters.

The new VFFOTO magnetic system uses a thin adapter, screwed on the end of the lens, and special photo filter in a magnetic frame, which is mounted to the adapter by simply attaching it.
Magnetic filters as an alternative to screw-on photo filters are quick and easy to replace. Just bring the filter close to the adapter at the end of the lens and it holds firmly immediately. You can take it off just as easily. The solution is perfect for everyone who has a problem with perpetual screwing when changing filters.
What makes VFFOTO magnetic filters so unique? Simplicity. Instead of two adapters in similar systems (one at the end of the lens, the other on a regular photographic filter), the VFFOTO's counterpart to the adapter is the photographic filter. Or even several, because they can be layered on top of each other and have several filters applied at the same time (for example, polarizing together with ND). With the attached magnetic filters, it is possible to use the original lens hood supplied by the lens manufacturer without any problems.
The new magnetic filters cannot be combined with the existing screw-on filters, it is a different system. We will be producing both versions of the filters in parallel and our customers will always be able to choose whether they prefer screw-on or magnetic filters.
VFFOTO magnetic NIGHT SKY filter NANO-PRO is a special type of filter that can capture a substantial part of yellow to orange light with a maximum wavelength of about 580 nm, thus darkening the sky and increasing the contrast and visibility of stars even in areas with light pollution. It filters out a significant part of the yellow light in particular, shifting the colors to cooler shades and taking 0.5 EV off the transmitted light. It has no noticeable effect on the sharpness and the presentation of details.
In addition to night photography, the NIGHT SKY filter can also be used for autumn colors. It will enhance the shades of red and take away the abundance of yellow. For morning or evening shots, the Night Sky filter will highlight the alpenglow. In combination with a polarizing filter, it is also suitable for nature photographers, where it will correct the warmer tones caused by the polarizing filter and bring out shades of red and green in particular.
The ideal way to capture the starry night sky is to shoot in places with as little light pollution possible. Unfortunately, there are only a few such places in the world. In other locations, the VFFOTO NIGHT SKY filter will help. The advantage compared to the additional adjustment on the computer is fundamental - the filter on the lens removes the yellow veil before the sensor, and therefore it is non-destructive. Post-processing on a PC always means sacrificing some of the captured image information.
The use of the VFFOTO NIGHT SKY filter: for landscape photographers when taking pictures of landscapes with night skies and for night city photographers, or for daytime pictures in autumn or nature pictures (in combination with CPL).
What NOT to expect from VFFOTO NIGHT SKY filters NANO-PRO?
- It will NOT allow you to photograph the sky with hundreds of stars right in the city. The city has such a high level of illumination (including diffused) that only a few of the brightest stars remain visible in the sky.
- It will NOT filter out light pollution from different sources evenly. Light pollution is formed by a mixture of different wavelengths between approximately 570-610 nm. VFFOTO NIGHT SKY filter GS is most effective for wavelengths around 580 nm, and less filters out light from 590 nm upwards - the red color component (600 nm - transmits about 25%).
VFFOTO magnetic NIGHT SKY filters NANO-PRO SERIES are developed, designed and completed in Czech republic. The components are manufactured in China.
They are equipped not only with 14 anti-reflective layers (7 on each side), but also with new 3+3 nanolayers with the most advanced functions: increased scratch resistance, water resistance, increased grease resistance and easier cleaning.
The filters of this series are specially designed for digital cameras.
This filter can also be used on ultra-wide angle lenses (including zoom lenses) with focal lengths of 15 mm and above (converted to FF), with diameter of 67 mm and smaller, see "Help sheet".

Why choose the VFFOTO magnetic NIGHT SKY filter NANO-PRO
1. very fast change of filter without screwing,
2. 16 (8+8) high quality anti-reflective layers = minimizing of unwanted reflections,
3. final surface treatment of the filter with nano layers = resistance against water, scratches and dirt, easy cleaning, these layers improve the mechanical and physical properties of the glass,
4. original, quality optical glass = not affecting sharpness, preserves finest details,
5. minimal light loss, only 0,5 EV,
6. for a wide focal range of 24-800mm (converted to full frame) = versatile use, suitable for use on all lenses from wide-angle (24mm on full frame and above) to telephoto (800mm),
7. special hydrophobic treatment means that the water droplets do not spill but form balls instead = the droplet slides on its own or it is possible to remove it with an air blower, for example, a single drop of water will not degrade the image that took tens of seconds or even minutes to take,
8. glass filter does not generate static electricity = does not attract dust (unlike plastic/resin filters)
9. excellent value for money = satisfied and returning customers,
10. processed with precision = reliability,
11. the possibility of replacing the glass if it is damaged,
12. 2 years warranty - output control of every filter is performed in the Czech Republic.
