Club rules and terms

Membership, club benefits and terms of preferential filter servicing.

1. Club operator

2. General information

The “VFFOTO Club” (hereinafter the “Club”) is a long-term marketing promotion and does not constitute a public promise or an offer to enter into a contract. The operator launched the Club on 1 October 2016 for an indefinite period. The operator reserves the right to amend or supplement the Club rules and terms at any time and repeatedly, or to terminate the Club, without further formalities or any compensation. Changes to the programme terms or its termination take effect upon publication at www.vffoto.com/klub, where the currently applicable rules are always available.

4. Eligibility

Club membership is available only to individuals over 15 years of age with a delivery address in the Czech Republic or another European Union member state (hereinafter a “Club member”). Each person may register as a Club member only once; multiple registrations by the same person are not permitted.

5. Joining the Club

To join the Club, an applicant must create a user account at www.vffoto.com/klub while the Club is operating. Creating an account requires standard registration details (contact email address, first and last name, street and building/house number, town or city, postcode and telephone number), a password chosen by the applicant, and acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale and these rules. The account is shared by the VFFOTO Club and the VFFOTO.com online store and may also be used to purchase VFFOTO products. Membership does not require the purchase or ownership of a VFFOTO product. Account creation is verified by a confirmation email, which the applicant must confirm. The applicant becomes a full Club member only after clicking the confirmation link. The programme operator reserves the right to check the validity of the email address. If the operator suspects that membership requirements have not been met, that the Club is being misused or that a duplicate registration has been made, the operator may request corrective action, refuse registration or subsequently cancel Club membership without any compensation. The programme operator undertakes not to disclose the registration details provided by Club members to any third party, except contractually bound data processors for the purposes of operating the Club and distributing information to members.

6. Membership benefits and how to use them

The operator will email duly registered Club members information about new VFFOTO products, exclusive offers for Club members and other updates.

A special benefit available exclusively to Club members is preferential servicing of damaged VFFOTO circular photographic filters. If a VFFOTO circular photographic filter (including magnetic or hybrid models) is damaged through the member’s own fault (for example, damage to the filter ring or broken glass following a fall), and the conditions specified below are met, the VFFOTO Club operator will arrange a repair for which the member pays an amount equal to 50% of the current price of a new VFFOTO filter of the same model. If that model is no longer manufactured and cannot be repaired, the Club member will be offered a filter from the same product range and will pay 50% of its current price.

Additional conditions:

  • A VFFOTO Club member may use preferential servicing for a maximum of two filters per calendar year.
  • This benefit is available only to end customers, not to VFFOTO business partners.
  • If an end customer purchased the filter directly from the VFFOTO online store (www.vffoto.com), no further proof of purchase is required. Purchases from official VFFOTO partners must be supported by a paper or electronic proof of purchase; a legible copy or photograph of a receipt or invoice, for example taken with a mobile phone, is sufficient.
  • Purchases from sources other than the VFFOTO online store or official VFFOTO business partners DO NOT qualify for preferential servicing. The benefit applies to filters purchased under standard terms, not to filters purchased in discount promotions.

How to use this benefit:

  1. The VFFOTO Club member must send a repair request to the Club operator from the email address used during registration. The request must include the member’s first and last name, delivery address in the Czech Republic and contact telephone number, identify the type and model of the VFFOTO filter, and briefly describe the damage. If the filter was purchased from an official VFFOTO partner, proof of purchase must also be provided; a legible copy or photograph of a receipt or invoice, for example taken with a mobile phone, is sufficient.
  2. In the email acknowledging receipt of the request, the member will be asked to send the damaged filter to the VFFOTO Club operator’s address in Humpolec.
  3. The VFFOTO Club member bears the cost of sending the filter to the operator and the risk of the shipment being lost. After the damaged VFFOTO filter has been delivered to the operator’s address, the member will be informed of the repair price by email.
  4. The price is 50% of the current price of a new filter in the VFFOTO.com online store. Once the member accepts the price, an invoice will be sent by email. After payment, the repaired filter will either be ready for collection at the VFFOTO premises in Humpolec (free of charge, by prior appointment) or dispatched using a contracted carrier.
  5. The cost of shipping the filter to the customer will be charged according to the current shipping rates in the VFFOTO online store.

In exceptional cases where production of the filter range has been discontinued and the filter cannot be repaired due to a lack of spare components, nor can another filter of an equivalent model be offered, the situation will be resolved individually with the Club member.

The servicing offer under the above conditions applies exclusively to VFFOTO filters.

It DOES NOT APPLY to damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper cleaning (for example, scratching the glass with grains of sand when wiping it without first using a blower and brush), or careless fitting or removal of the filter on a lens (for example, cross-threading).

It also DOES NOT APPLY to flat, all-glass filters for filter holders, as these cannot be repaired.

Club membership does not entitle the member to any benefits other than those described in these rules and terms.

7. Cancelling membership

A Club member may cancel their membership at any time without further formalities by sending a cancellation notice to info@vffoto.com or by unsubscribing from the VFFOTO Club newsletter.

8. Communication with Club members

The email address provided during registration will be used to communicate with Club members. Each Club member is responsible for providing a correct and valid email address and for receiving messages.
For technical reasons, the email address entered during registration cannot be changed. If a member changes their email address for reasons on their side (for example, closure of the email account), they must register again using another valid email address. Members manage their other details, excluding the registration email address, themselves and may update them after signing in to their user account.

9. Acceptance of the rules and personal data protection

By registering for the VFFOTO Club, the member unconditionally agrees to these rules.

10. Website availability and cookies

The programme operator does not guarantee the continuous availability of the specified websites and offers. The programme operator may use cookies on these websites solely to facilitate their technical operation. Cookies can be managed or disabled using the tools provided by all common web browsers.

These rules are effective from 8 February 2022 and replace the previous version of the VFFOTO Club rules.
